ΣΩΜΑΤΑ ΦΤΗΝΑ, ΣΩΜΑΤΑ ΞΕΝΑ – ΠΑΡΟΥΣΙΑΣΗ ΜΠΡΟΣΟΥΡΑΣ (3Η ΕΚΔΟΣΗ)

Τον Δεκέμβρη του 2015, εκδώσαμε την μπροσούρα “Σώματα Φτηνά, Σώματα Ξένα” με θέμα την κρατική διαχείριση της μετανάστευσης. Εξ αρχής εφάνηκε πως υπήρχε μεγάλο ενδιαφέρον, αφού τα 250 αντίτυπα εξαντλήθηκαν μέσα σε μικρό χρονικό διάστημα. Μισό χρόνο μετά αποφασίσαμε να εκδώσουμε άλλα 500 αντίτυπα, τα οποία επίσης εξαντλήθηκαν.
Φέτος αποφασίσαμε να προχωρήσουμε στην 3η έκδοση της μπροσούρας, τούντη φορά με σημαντικές αλλαγές τζαι προσθήκες, που εδιπλασιάσαν τελικά το μέγεθός της. Η απόφαση για την επανέκδοση επάρθηκε μετά που κύκλους συζητήσεων της συνέλευσής με αφορμή τις δολοφονίες μεταναστριών που αποκαλύφθηκαν τον Απρίλιο του 2019. Τα περιεχόμενα της μπροσούρας όμως εν εσυζητήθηκαν για πρώτη φορά φέτος, αλλά αποτελούν προϊόν συζητήσεων τζαι δράσεων της συνέλευσης τα τελευταία πέντε χρόνια.
Τη Δευτέρα 30/12 (19:00) εννα γίνει η πρώτη παρουσίαση της ανανεωμένης έκδοσης, στον κοινωνικό χώρο Kaymakkin. Εννα ακολουθήσει συζήτηση γύρω που τις μεταναστευτικές πολιτικές του κράτους αλλά τζαι τους αγώνες μεταναστ(ρι)ών στην Κύπρο. Στο χώρο ενναν διαθέσιμη η μποροσούρα όπως τζαι άλλο έντυπο υλικό της ομάδας.

In December 2015, we published a pamphlet called ‘’Cheap Bodies, Foreign Bodies’’ regarding the ways the state managed immigration. There was great interest from the start, as the initial 250 copies were exhausted in a short period of time. 6 months later we decided to go ahead with a second printing of 500 copies, and they were all given out as well.
This year we decided to proceed with the 3rd edition of the pamphlet, this time with significant changes and additions that doubled its size. The decision to republish was taken after rounds of discussions by the assembly surrounding the serial killings of migrant women that came to light in April 2019. However, the pamphlet’s contents were not first discussed this year; they are a product of discussions and actions undertaken by the assembly in the past five years.
On Monday 30/12 (19:00) we will present the new edition at social space Kaymakkin. A discussion will follow regarding the state’s immigration policies as well as immigrant struggles in Cyprus. On site you will be able to find the pamphlet, along with other printed material of the group.
During the event, whispered translation in English will be available for both the presentation and the discussion.
